A classic American car from Creator set 5867 Super Speedster. Sometimes you design a model, but always have this feeling that it just isn’t quite right and that it could be done better. That was the case with the earlier Classic Car from this set. It used some tricky techniques, but also had some weak […]

An alternate from Creator set 5867 Super Speedster, inspired by Rolls-Royce and Bentley. After so many other alternates already made from this set, it becomes increasingly more difficult to come up with iconic and recognizable models. This time it turned out in a classy saloon, based on the luxurious limousines from highly exclusive brands only […]
This endurance racer is my 2nd alternative from the 31006 Highway Speedster set. Inspired by the 24h of Le Mans, the idea was to make a fast, slick looking driving machine. The Le Mans cars are characterised by their wide wheel base, short fronts, an enormous rear spoiler to increase donwforce and a low canope […]
A transforming alternate from Creator set 31007 Power Mech called “Toxic”. If there’s one subject difficult to render with bricks, it’s transformers. Swiveling parts everywhere while maintaining structure integrity is one thing, but having both modes look decent is another story. Keeping all this in mind requires a lot of compromises. This prehistoric monster is an alternate of 31008 Thunder Wings. This T-Rex type of dinosaur is certainly something different than the official models. This beast has plenty of articulation with hip-, knee-, and ankle joints, including swiveling neck and tail. This ferocious creature can even move its arms, although it prefers to use its jaws.
For certain models building instructions have been prepared. Here’s a selection of the free available instructions. (Click the pic to go to the .PDF file, and make sure you have the latest Acrobat Reader installed)

A simple chair with a basic collapsible feature. Sometimes the beauty of a model lies not in the complexity, but in its simplicity. One could say that this is the case for this model too, in which there are not many features, except for the folding function. But to include this functionality, while keeping the […]
