Hot Pursuit

This model called “Hot pursuit” made it into the LEGO Factory set 5526: Skyline.
When the virtual building program LEGO Digital Designer was launched, it was promoted with the LEGO Factory Competition. The brief was to create a micro city scenary with a maximum area of 16 x 16 studs. Special 8 x 8 “road” plates were introduced with a smooth, 4 wide street pattern to set the stage. Staying close to the brief, I wanted to create a piece that was not only nice as a display model, but looked lively as well; something you wanted to pick up and play with.
To make it look even more dynamic I decided to include several surface layers, each with a unique identity.
Of course a city needs different types of transportation as well so people can travel from one place to another.
