Transformer “SideSwipe”

2 types of models were already a while on the ‘to do’ list. A highly detailed 1:17 scale sportscar, based on a real vehicle and a transformer. So why not combining them both using the original SideSwipe as inspiration? With a lack of specific wheelarches and other types of curves, the Lamborghini Countach would be the ideal candidate with its edgy shape. However to add to the challenge it also had to transform into a robot, without compromising a detailed vehicle mode. Actually, to have an accurate car with all opening features, a detailed interior and a representable engine compartment was prioritized, so spectators would hardly be able to tell that it can transform. The other way around is often much more obvious, with the wheels visible. So I mainly concentrated on the looks of the Countach mode.
